Rotating Beacon at Valkaria Airport (X59)
In my last post, I said that this “little airport that could” had been getting a bunch of upgrades recently. This new rotating beacon is one of them.
I can’t wait to see what they add next.

Hey Dave,
I live near San Fillipo and Wyoming (Valkaria Road) and just noticed the rotating beacon. Is this its first night of operation? It caught my eye tonight, (of course always scanning the sky).

Thanks for dropping me a line. I’m pretty sure it has been running for a while. I know they had some issues with it in the beginning, but it’s been running for several months at least. Are you a pilot?
